BRAKE SIGNAL PLAUSIBILITY ERROR.
BRAKE SWITCH
The main and redundant brake signals are input to EMS ECU from the brake switch. They are mutually
and individually checked for plausibility
.
DTC INFORMATION
PROBABLE CAUSES OF FAILURE
NORMAL OPERATION
Ignition ON
The brake switch outputs a voltage which corresponds to the
brake position and is within the range.
Main brake signal is ON and redundant signal is OFF and vice
versa.
DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS
Ignition ON
EMS ECU supply voltage 8-16V
The brake switch output remains same in spite of brake
pressed or not pressed
The main and redundant switch status remains same.
DTC REACTIONS
Accelerator plausibility error detection stopped.
Under braking condition detection stopped
HEALING CONDITION
Ignition Off/On
Open /short wiring

Improper brake switch
adjustment
Faulty brake switch
