Turn the ignition  ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition  OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if   P0480 is present?

Is  P0480 present?

Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem 
inspection procedure

STEP 2

Ignition OFF

Ensure the pressure switch relay 
 is fixed properly in the  
connector of the relay box
Remove the  pressure switch 
relay 
Check the functioning of relay by 
providing 12V  to terminal 86 
and ground to terminal 85

Is a  clicking sound 

heard?

Replace the pressure switch 
relay with a new one
Clear the DTC and verify

Is the continuity 

exists?

Examine the open circuit of  of   
pressure switch relay   control 
wire from EMS ECU
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Ignition OFF
EMS ECU wiring harness 
connector (C4) DISCONNECTED

Remove the pressure switch 
relay 
Check the continuity   between 
pin 2   of the pressure switch 
relay  seating (C358)  and pin 72 
of the EMS ECU wiring harness 
connector

Suspect  EMS ECU  malfunction
Replace EMS ECU  with a new 
one.
Check and verify for any new 
DTC’s
