functioning properly

Remove the  main  relay

EMS wiring harness connector 
DISCONNECTED(C4)

Check the continuity between   
pin 6  of the main relay 
connector (C9)  and  pin 6 of the 
EMS ECU wiring harness 
connector
Check the continuity between   
pin 6 of the main relay 
connector(C9)  and  pin 4 of the 
EMS ECU wiring harness 
connector
Check the continuity between   
pin 8 of the main relay 
connector (C9)  and  pin 50 of 
the EMS ECU wiring harness 
connector

Is the continuity 

exists?

Examine the open circuit in main 
relay to EMS ECU wiring circuit
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify

 STEP 5

Is the continuity 

exists?

Go to  STEP 6

Ignition OFF

Remove the  main  relay
Check the continuity between   
pin 6 of the main relay 
connector (C9)  and  battery 
ground
Check the continuity between   
pin 8  of the main relay 
connector (C9)  and   battery

Examine the short to ground  in 
main relay to EMS ECU wiring
