Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P2265 is present?
Is P2265 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

Ignition OFF
Check and ensure the proper
functioning of 5 A fuse (F47)
Water in fuel sensor wiring
harness connector
(C38)DISCONNECTED
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between pin
3 of the water in fuel sensor
wiring harness connector and
battery ground
Is the value =V bat ?
Examine the open /short circuit
in water in fuel sensor power
supply wire
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify
Ignition OFF
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector (C4) DISCONNECTED
Water in fuel sensor wiring
harness connector (C38)
DISCONNECTED
Check the continuity between
pin 1 of the water in fuel sensor
wiring harness connector and
battery ground
Is the continuity
exists?
Examine the open circuit in
water in fuel sensor ground
wire
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify
Go to STEP 4
