3.6 Adjusting the Peel-Detection Rollers

Adjustment of the Sensor Detect Position
Adjust the position of the peel detect roller where the peel
detect sensor switches from "OFF" to "ON".
1.
Starts the dummy SBC2 program, and open the mainte-
nance window. ("

Slowly lower the balance weight until the thicker part of the
peel detect roller jig contacts the peel detect roller.

Loosen the fi xing screw "b".
• It is possible to start at either the left or right side.
4.
Loosen the lock nut and turn the peel detect screw to the
left and right.
• The peel detect sensor plate will move up and down.
• The peel detect sensor will also move up and down in
accordance with the motion of the peel detect sensor
plate.
• When the peel detection sensor detaches from the sen-
sor plunger, the [Back Plate Warp] display on the Mainte-
nance Tool window will change from "OFF" to "ON".
5.
Tighten the lock nut at the point where the [Back Plate
Warp] display changes from "OFF" to "ON".
I m p o r t a n t Note that it is not when it changes from
ON to OFF.

Tighten the fi xing screw "b".
7.
In the same way as above, adjust the peel detect mecha-
nism on the opposite side.
8.
Switch the position of the peel detect roller jig from top
edge to the bottom edge of the cassette magnetizing plate,
and carry out ("

p.120" ) and (" 3.6.3 Adjustment of the Sensor Detect
Position, p.121" ).
• Check the upper edge and lower edge of the cassette
magnetizing plate, and preferentially adjust the one edge
that is more convex than the other. For example, when
the detector turns on at the upper edge but not at the
lower edge, it is not necessary to adjust at the lower
edge.
