TEL mode (Manual RX mode)
Select this mode when you use your machine mainly as a telephone. To receive a fax
document, pick up the Handset, if you hear a fax tone, press the Start Key and hang-up to
receive it manually. Note that at this mode you cannot receive a document automatically.
2) How to select the reception mode
1. Press the Utility key 5 times into the "RX
OPERATION".
2. Press "7" from the Numeric keys to show "7 RX
Mode" on the Message Display.
3. Press the or key to select "AUTO RX "
or "MANUAL RX".
4. Then press the Yes key.
5. The machine is now ready to receive based on the mode selected through the above
steps.
Operation at Reception
Receiving a Document in the Fax Mode (Auto RX mode)
1. When using a telephone, the telephone also
rings indicating that a fax call is coming in.
2. The machine communication starts after the
preset number of rings is detected.
The number of rings occurring before the machine answers is programmable.
