Setting The Original Document
Using the Automatic Document Feeder(ADF)
The Automatic Document Feeder feeds originals placed into the Document Feed
Tray. Use the following instructions when using this device; otherwise, a misfeed or
other complications may occur.

Originals should meet these specifications:
Type of Paper: Plain paper (50-110 g/m
2
)
Paper Size: A4-A5, Legal L - Half Letter L
•
Originals that are not compatible with the Automatic Document Feeder:
G
Typing paper, paraffin paper and other thin paper types
G
Thick paper
G
Sizes that are larger than Legal L or smaller than Half Letter L
G
OHP transparencies, tracing paper or other transparent paper types
G
Wrinkled, folded, curled or torn originals
G
Originals that are stapled or fastened with paper clips
G
Carbon paper or paper with coated surfaces
To produce copies from original documents described above, first place it on the
Original Glass.

the document.

Place the document so that the side you wish to
copy is facing up.
