If an output of a controller channel is con-
figured as a Pulse length output, the period
between the switching pulses is fixed.
The length of the switching period should
be selected such that, on the one hand, the
cyclic controller output signal (e.g. for heat-
ing, cooling, feeding etc.) does not cause
any disturbing fluctuations of the actual val-
ue, while, at the same time, the switching
outputs and the equipment being con-
trolled are not stressed unduly.
