Stability considerations
The centre of gravity of the body should be as low as possible, to improve stability
when driving.
See Chapter 2.3.4 "Centre of Gravity (CoG)".
In tankers, fluid motion affects the manoeuverability of the vehicle, because the
centre of gravity of the load can quickly move into the tank. The load can be moved
laterally during curves and longitudinally during braking. For this reason, it is rec
-
ommended that transverse and longitudinal deflector plates should be mounted in
tanks, to reduce the risk of overturning.
If the configuration permits, the vehicle will be equipped with stabiliser bars at the
front and rear axles.
F_1, F_2, F_3 Flexible connection types,
see chapter 5.3.2 "Flexible connection"
NOTICE
Vehicles equipped with a tank must travel completely full or completely empty.
Never drive them at half load.
