- Before installing secondary consumers, check that the capacity of the battery

is sufficient. It might be necessary to consider installing extra batteries.

See chapter 7.4 "Handling batteries".

- Every electrical device installed in the vehicle must comply with Regulation

ECE-R10 - Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard
to electromagnetic compatibility, and have the marking "e".

See chapter 7.1 "Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)".

7.3.2

Possibilities of connection

When connecting auxiliary equipment or additional circuits in the vehicle‘s electric
system, never make electrical connections at points other than those expressly des

-

ignated by HMC; this is strictly prohibited. The connection points enabled for Body
Builders, where they can have access to the power supplies, are shown in this chap

-

ter.
The number of connectors depends on the equipment mounted on the vehicle and
its features. Furthermore, as a result of customer requests, it might be necessary to
develop different configurations, to adapt the vehicle to meet requirements. They
are protected by fuses and connected by wires of the appropriate size for their
functions.

NOTICE

- It is recommended that materials, codes and colours used for the new installa

-

tions should be similar to those used for the original installations. This will
improve the functioning of the whole system, and facilitate future repairs.

- If any changes not authorised by HMC are made to the vehicle‘s original elec

-

tric system of the vehicle , the Body Builder will be the responsible for any

damage caused.
