Connection systems for hydraulic pipes:
Connectors approved or supplied by HMC must be used at the connection points or
splices between brake pipes.

The proper torque should be applied for each type of connector.

Laying and securing of hydraulic pipes:
When installing a hydraulic pipe, the following points should be taken into account:
- HMC recommends replacing hydraulic pipes completely, instead of making
joints between pipes. The hydraulic pipes must not be welded. If it is not possi
-
ble to use one-piece pipe, the same type of connections as are used in the
original vehicle must be used.
- The pipes must be permanently fixed to the vehicle. The fixation points should
be set strategically depending on the needs and guidelines contained in this
manual.
- The distances between attachment points must not exceed 500 mm.
- When multiple wires follow the same route, it is recommended to set them all
together with straps.
