Engine system modifications
INo manipulation, modification or replacement of motors supplied with the original
vehicle from factory, or any of their elements, is allowed.
The engine rpm can only be manipulated through the control devices installed in the
vehicle as standard for this purpose.
Cooling system
Do not modify or replace all or part of the original cooling system of the vehicle.
If the modifications in the system are unavoidable, due, for example, to changes in
the cab that require intervention in the cooling circuit of the engine, the information
below must be followed:
- The radiator grille must not be modified, nor clog the air intake of the radiator
grille clogged, either totally or partially, since a sufficient flow of cooling air
must be ensured. The cooling section must not be less than the section on the
original vehicle.
- Be careful not to cover the air inlets with posters or other decorative elements.
- Care must be taken to ensure that the air flows through the engine compart
-
ment properly, removing the hot air up and taking precautions against stag
-
nation. Excessive heat should be dissipated to avoid engine damage.
- The characteristics of the fan must not be altered, nor must it be replaced by a
different model.
- In the event of intervention in piping circuits, care must be taken to ensure
proper circulation of water through the circuit, with sufficient flow and pres
-
sure. It must also be guaranteed that the maximum temperature stabilisation of
the water will not be modified.
- Special attention must be paid to the routing of new pipelines, ensuring that
there are no bends in the pipes, because air pockets might occur at these
points, which would prevent the water from circulating normally.
- A new water pump must operate with the same efficiency and working time as
the vehicle‘s original pump.
CAUTION
No intervention is allowed in devices such as the injection pump, regulators, etc.,
that might change the functioning of the engine and the gas emissions. This could
produce a malfunction in the operation of the vehicle.
