Field wiring for Analog Input
The UIO is optimized for use with 2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire
transmitters. All 16 channels can accept inputs from most 2-wire, 3-
wire or 4-wire transmitters without any special wiring.
The following are the items that UIO AI supports.
n
4-20 mA / 0-20 mA current inputs;
n
Devices that accept external power to power a 0/4-20 mA current
source and (optionally) the device;
n
Devices that return the current to the ground terminal of the
external 24 V power supply;
n
External devices that can moderate non-compliant devices. For
example: 'moderators' = current mirrors, isolators, GI/IS barriers,
mv-to-I.
