4.4 Configuring a Redundant Server
The optional redundant server (purchasable option) enables a site to duplicate critical
components of the Cenova server and can minimize downtime caused by a hardware
failure.
This server is a good solution for sites that must have a backup to process digital
mammography images if the primary Cenova system fails. The redundant server
includes the Hologic Connect service.
Note
License dongles, port licenses, and other feature licenses are not included with the
redundant server.
Note
If DICOM 6000 Interface is installed on the Cenova server, refer to the DICOM 6000
Interface Installation & Service Manual to install and configure DICOM 6000 Interface
on the redundant server.
Keep the following points in mind when configuring a redundant server:
•
If the site purchases a redundant server, you must ensure that the server is
configured according to the instructions in
on page 23. Use the
backup removable media to set up the redundant server (see
on page 77).
•
If you upgrade a Cenova server at a customer site, you must also upgrade the
redundant server.
•
You must move the license dongle from the main server’s USB port to the redundant
server’s USB port before configuring the redundant server.
•
Verify all system configuration settings and ensure that the redundant system is
operational
before
on page 69).
