3.5 Configuring the Site’s Workstations and PACS Devices
To complete the system configuration, work with the site’s IT administrator to ensure
that the devices entered as DICOM source devices are configured to send images to the
Cenova server’s Store SCP AE title, IP address, and port. Ensure that the DICOM
destination devices are configured to accept results from the Cenova server’s Store SCU
AE title and IP address (see
Entering the Connectivity Settings
on page 32 and
DICOM Destination and Source Devices
on page 34).
3.6 Completing the Installation
When all devices have been configured, use the following procedure to verify that the
server is working properly.
To complete the installation:
1.
Restart services (CAD, DICOM, Hologic Connect) as needed (see
Stopping DICOM and Processing Services
on page 75). (You can also clear the ‘Restart
services’ message and make any of the new settings available by restarting the
server.)
2.
Run the Self Test. Navigate to the Administration – Self Test screen and run the Self
Test (see
on page 81).
3.
Verify image transmission. Use the License File Verification Report as a guide to
verify that:
•
The server can receive cases from each of the clinic’s acquisition gantries and
PACS devices.
•
The server can process the cases and send results to each configured review
workstation and/or PACS device.
•
The results can be viewed properly at the review workstations.
Note
As needed, C-Echo or Ping the appropriate devices from the System Settings –
DICOM screen. If these tests do not pass, first verify that all cables are firmly
and correctly connected. Then verify that the correct parameters are configured
by double-checking AE titles, IP addresses, and ports on the Cenova server and
remote DICOM devices. You might also check that the facility network
switches, routers, gateways, and NIC cards are correctly configured.
4.
Back up the server Control Panel settings (see
Backing Up and Restoring the Server
on page 77).
5.
Exit the browser (log out of the Control Panel).
6.
Log out of Windows.
7.
Disconnect any ancillary hardware connected to the server (keyboard, mouse,
monitor, etc.).
