To configure a printer (Windows 7)
1.
Select
Start > Devices and Printers
.
2.
Click
Add a Printer
. The Add Printer dialog appears.
3.
Select the ‘Add a Local Printer’ option. The Choose a Printer Port window appears.
4.
Select the ‘Create a new port’ option. In the ‘Type of port’ drop-down list, select
Standard TCP/IP Port and click
Next
. The Printer window appears.
5.
In the ‘Hostname or IP address’ field, enter the site’s printer IP address and click
Next
.
Note
Obtain the printer IP address from the site’s IT administrator.
6.
Enter the printer name or use the default and click
Next
.
7.
Confirm the ‘Set as the default printer’ check box is selected.
8.
Click
Print a Test Page
.
9.
Click
Finish
.
10.
Confirm that the printer you configured is the default printer.
To map the printer:

Mapping the printer requires the same service login used for configuring a printer.
Review the guidelines provided in
Configuring DICOM Source Devices
on page 36 to
understand source devices and mapping. You will then follow the directions in
on page 40.
