4.8 Configuring Access Control
The Access Control page allows you to configure user authentication settings.
Authentication Options
Choose one of the following two options:
•
Local Machine – Users are authenticated using local Windows accounts.
•
Local Machine & Active Directory – Users are authenticated using the local Windows
account and the Active Directory account (specified in the Domain Name field).
Select this option if you wish to log into the Cenova Control Panel using your Active
Directory credentials.
Authentication Settings
•
Local Machine field displays your local machine ID.
•
Domain Name field is active when the Local Machine & Active Directory
authentication option is selected. Enter the Domain Name.
Note
If you are using Active Directory to authenticate users, Windows must be configured as
part of the domain and users must be added to at least one of the supported groups (see
Adding a Cenova Server to a Domain
on page 116).
