If the reference mark search after unit start is active, then all of the unit’s
functions will be disabled until the reference mark search has been
successfully completed.

For encoders with EnDat interface, the reference mark search is omitted
because the axes are referenced automatically.
If the reference mark search is active on the unit, then a wizard will ask you to
traverse the reference marks of the axes.
After logging in, follow the instructions of the wizard
The Reference symbol stops blinking upon successful completion of the
reference mark search

Starting the reference mark search manually
A manual reference mark search can be performed only by the
Setup
and
OEM
user types.
If the reference mark search was not performed on startup, you can start it manually
later.

Tap
Start
The Reference symbol blinks
Follow the instructions of the wizard
The Reference symbol stops blinking upon successful
completion of the reference mark search
