13 Starting remote access
13.1 Starting remote access via REST
Requirements:
The product is connected to a network via Ethernet
Data transfer via REST is activated in the settings
Further information: "Activating the interface for Data transfer", Page 146
Starting remote access
You can access the product from the remote station by specifying the IP address
and the port.
Read the IP address of the product from the settings
Read the port from the settings
Enter
http:://IP address:port/GC/command
into the address line of a
browser
13.2 Starting remote access via MQTT
Requirements:
The product is connected to a network via Ethernet
Data transfer via MQTT is activated in the settings

Starting remote access
You can access the product from the remote station via the broker by specifying the
broker address and the port.
Read the IP address of the broker from the settings
Read the port from the settings
Enter a message with the appropriate topic (e.g., topic
GC/zeroC
and message

) at the remote station, in order to reset the first axis to zero
13.3 Starting remote access via RS-232
Requirements:
The product is connected to the remote station via an RS-232 adapter
Software is installed on the computer
Data transfer via RS-232 is defined and activated in the settings

Starting remote access
In transmissions via RS-232, you can use small text files to send remote commands.
Select the same port settings on the remote station as on the product
Enter the remote access command
Use the appropriate command (e.g., Send File) depending on the software to
send the remote access command to the product
