Watching TV
Adjusting the Sound Quality
Default Normal
You can set the sound effect for the sound quality of
the One Seg broadcasting.
 You can set it either in the Normal style or in the TV style.
Example: For the TV style

Press (Func) while watching One Seg.
The Function menu appears.
For the Normal style
From the Function menu, select [Sound effect]
→
a type
of sound effect.

Press to select [Sound effect] and press
.
The Sound effect setting menu appears.
[Normal]:
Set no sound effect.
[Naturl]:
Provide natural sound with a general feeling of
soundscape. Suitable for any kinds of programs.
[News]:
Provide clear and easy to hear voices even with the
volume lowered in a case such as when listening to an
announcer talk.
[Sports]:
Provide dynamic and powerful sound, allowing you
to enjoy an extended sound field, such as cheers of
audience.
[Movie]:
Provide powerful sound in which the bass is emphasized
as well as an extended sound field, allowing you to
enjoy films with a realistic sensation.
[Music]:
Enable emotional reproduction of music accompanied
by an inflection provided by clear, wide-ranging, and
well-modulated sounds.

Press to select a type of sound effect and
press .
The Sound effect is set.
● The sound effect works well when the sound is played
back through the stereo speaker.
Using the Sleep Timer
Default OFF
You can set to terminate One Seg automatically after
the certain period of time.
 You can set it either in the Normal style or in the TV style.
Example: For the TV style

Press (Func) while watching One Seg.
The Function menu appears.
For the Normal style
From the Function menu, select [Sleep]
→
a time before
terminating One Seg automatically.

Press to select [Sleep] and press .
The Sleep setting menu appears.

Press to select a time before terminating
One Seg automatically and press .
Select from [OFF], [30min], [60min], [90min], and [120min].
Using the Program Guide
i-
α ppli
<Program guide>
Using the program guide i- α ppli, you can activate One
Seg by selecting a program from within the program
guide and set a timer for watching or recording a
program.
 “G ガイド番組表リモコン ” (G-GUIDE TV Program List Remote
Control) is preinstalled as the program guide i-
α
ppli (P.194).
For details, see the “Mobile Phone User’s Guide 【 i-mode 】 ”.

From the Menu, select [Entertainment] → [One
Seg] → [Program guide] and press .
※ The display shown is an image
for explanatory purpose and
may be different from the actual
display. The TV program list is
displayed according to your
location.
The program guide i- α ppli is started and “ ” or “ ”
appears.
To start the program guide i- α ppli while watching in the
Normal style
Either press (EPG) or from the Function menu, select
[Program guide] → [Yes].
To change the software to be activated by the Program
guide key
Move the cursor to the software in the list of i- α ppli
software and from the Function menu, select [Individual
set]
→ [Program guide key] → [Yes]/[No] (P.193).
● When you select a program in the “G ガイド番組表リモコン ”
(G-GUIDE TV Program List Remote Control) display, you
can watch the selected program by pressing
(TV 起動 ).
