This can cause fire or explosion.
• Do not use the battery if it is damaged. The
liquid inside can leak and cause loss of vision
if it comes into contact with eyes. Avoid con-
tact with the liquid. If you do come into contact
with it, wash it off with plenty of water and seek
medical assistance immediately.
• Please inform yourself of the applicable regula-
tions for transporting your pedelec, e.g. by car.
The battery is classed as a hazardous
material. Remove the battery if you want
to perform any work on the pedelec, e.g.
maintenance or assembly.
There is a risk of injury or electric shock
if you unintentionally press the power
button.
• Never open the battery. This can cause a short
circuit. If the battery is opened, all warranty and
guarantee claims are rendered void.
• Do not store or transport the battery with met-
al objects that could cause a short circuit, e.g.
paper clips, nails, screws, keys, coins. A short
circuit can cause burns or fire.
• Keep the battery away from water and other
liquids. Contact with liquids can damage the
protective circuit and the battery’s protective
mechanism. This can cause fire or explosion.
• Do not clean the battery with a high-pressure
cleaner. Use a damp cloth for cleaning and do
not use aggressive cleaning products.
• If fumes escape due to improper use or dam-
age, seek fresh air and consult a doctor if
symptoms occur. The battery must be fully fas-
tened in the holder and the battery box closed
before you begin your journey. Otherwise,
there is a risk that the battery will fall out during
the journey.
• Do not allow the battery to discharge fully. This
can lead to irreversible cell damage.
• This battery is only suitable for use with FLYER
electric bicycle motors. There is a risk of inju-
ry and fire if it is used improperly or handled
incorrectly. FLYER shall not be held liable for
damage caused by improper use.
• Never mail a battery yourself! Batteries are
classed as hazardous goods. Only mail your
pedelec battery via your retailer. Under certain
conditions, it may overheat and catch fire.
• The battery must not be disposed of in domes-
tic waste. The seller will take it back and dis-
pose of it properly.
The battery may indicate faults via flashing LEDs.
For more information on this, read the accompa-
nying instructions from the motor manufacturer.
5.24 Pushing aid/setting-off aid
The pushing/setting-off aid makes it easier for you
to set off on the e-bike. Do not use the pushing aid
to ride the bike.
FLYERS with pedal assist up to 25 km/h are
equipped with a pushing aid. This is limited to
6 km/h in the fastest gear. The FLYER can con-
veniently be moved out of underground parking or
along steep paths by activating the pushing aid.
Models with pedal assist above 25 km/h have a
setting-off aid that is limited to 18 km/h.
Activate the pushing/setting-off aid by scrolling
right down to “ ” in the assistance levels (– but-
ton). Now press and hold the pushing/setting-off
aid button for more than 2 seconds (– button).
The pushing/setting-off aid is activated if
– You press the – button in the pushing/setting-off
aid mode
– A speed of 6 km/h or 18 km/h is exceeded.
When using the pushing/setting-off aid,
the wheels must be in contact with the
floor to avoid the risk of injury.
