test
again.
If
YES,
then
call
a
qualified
maintenance
technician
to
troubleshoot.
The

Test
fails?
Take
the
sterilizer
out
of
service
and
contact
a
qualified
maintenance
technician
who
will
use
the
Vacuum
Leak
Test
troubleshooting
guide
in
Section
4.3.14.

What

you
do
if

Response
The
unit
shuts
off
and
emits
a
sustained
alarm
tone?
Turn
the
SMU
OFF
and
disconnect
power.
Contact
a
qualified
maintenance
technician
to
troubleshoot
the
system.
You
experience
a
power
failure
during
operation?
Flip
the
control
power
switch
to
the
OFF
position.
When
the
power
returns,
flip
the
control
power
switch
ON.
If
the
power
outage
was
short,
there
will
still
be
pressure
in
the
jacket
and
pressure
or
vacuum
in
the
chamber.
Press
“CONFIRM”
on
the
“SETUP”
screen,
then
press
“VENT.”
This
will
vent
the
pressure
or
vacuum
in
the
chamber.
After
venting,
open
the
door
and
reprocess
the
load
per
AAMI
ST79
standards.
You
want
to
stop
a
cycle?
Press
“ABORT.”
The
touch
screen
will
not
accept
a
command
or
seems
to
be
“lost”
and
not
functioning
correctly?
Flip
the
control
power
switch
to
OFF,
wait
5
seconds,
and
then
flip
it
back
ON.
Restart
the
cycle.
The
cycles
are
taking
a
lot
longer
than
usual?
Allow
the
WRS
water
to
cool.
In
a
hot
environment
the
cycles
may
take
longer
because
the
WRS
water
may
be
hot
which
effects
the
eductor
performance.
You
forgot
to
record
a
previous
cycle?
From
the
“Main
Menu”,
press
“Log.”
On
the
“Log”
screen
you
can
view
previous
results
by
using
the
left
‐
arrow
button.
You
turn
ON
the
sterilizer
and
get
a
low
battery
error
while
the
PLC
is
booting
up.
Contact
a
qualified
maintenance
technician
to
have
the
battery
replaced
according
to
the
Battery
Replacement
Procedure
found
in
Section
4.3.16.
The
PLC
screen
responds
slowly
when
the
screen
is
pressed.
