12.7 Changing the liquid manager
Interval at which the liquid manager needs to be replaced:
• Depends on the application; recommendation: every 4 years
You need the following parts:
• CAV800-EAxx+PT for CA80PH
1. Rinse the system (see the "Rinsing the system" section).
2. Remove the bottles and the bottle tray.
3. Remove the cover of the carrier board.
4. Select "Menu/Operation/Dispenser replacement/Dispenser selection".
5. Select all the dispensers.
6. Select "Draw up dispenser".
7. Disconnect the power to the analyzer.
8. Open the dispenser holder by pressing both snap-fit hooks together and removing it.
9. Turn the dispenser clockwise to remove it from the liquid manager.
10. Remove the adapter and the dispenser from the dispenser drive. To do so, hold the dispenser
by the black block at the lower end and pull it from the metal pin.
11. Open and remove the 4 Allen screws (4mm) on the liquid manager.
12. Disconnect the two plug-in connectors of the liquid manager from the main PCB.
13. Install the new liquid manager in the reverse order.
14. Screw the dispensers onto the liquid manager.
Make sure that the end of the dispenser is parallel to the liquid manager as the dispenser
holder unit cannot be closed otherwise.
Make sure that the dispenser is connected correctly.
15. Slide the dispenser holder over the snap-fit hooks. Ensure that the holder snaps into place.
Make sure that the drain hose D6 is routed behind dispenser 7.
16. Secure the cover and place the bottle tray back into the housing.
17. Connect the bottles to the appropriate covers and hoses.
18. Switch the analyzer back on.
19. Select "Menu/Operation/Bottle replacement/Bottle insertion/Bottle selection".
20. Select all the bottles and press "OK" to confirm.
21. Then select "Confirm bottles inserted".
