Turn the hand wheel in the contrary direction, until the needle
again stitches the paper.

Turn the screw 5 until both needle stitches are at the same point.
2.5.3 Reciprocal distance of the tying stitches
NOTE
The settings of the chapters 2.5.1 needle standstill and 2.5.2 needle
zero position must be done correctly.
Rule:
The distance between the tying stitches should correspond
approximately to a needle width.
Setting:

Turn the screw 4 clockwise according to the rule (about 1/2 turn).
2.5.4 Number of tying stitches
The total number of the tying stitches depends on the chosen stitch
number.
The switching off moment can be changed by adjusting the switching
cam
4 (page 6).
Depending on the moment of switching off more tying stitches are
sown at the start of the buttonhole (early switching off) or towards the
finish of the buttonhole (later switching off).
Setting:
Loosen nut 1. Turning the switching cam clockwise = later switching
off; turning counter clockwise = early switching off of the machine.
