8.4 Removing and fitting the hook shaft
Removal:
–
Remove throat plate ,bobbin case holder and hook.
–
Remove position transmitter, hand wheel and belt guard.
–
Remove driving belt from the hook shaft.
–
Loosen belt pulley 4 .
–
Loosen threaded pin 5 on t he fastening ring 8 .
–
Pull out the hook shaft to the rear.
Fitting:
–
Introduce the hook shaft from the rear into the machine until the
front ball bearing ( hook side) rests against the inner ring
7 .
–
Set the fastening ring 8 from the backside against the ball bearing
si that there is no play between the inner ring 7 and the fastening
ring 8 .
–
Tighten the screw 5 .
–
Slip belt pulley 4 onto the hook shaft and fasten by screws.
–
Replace and tighten the driving belt.
–
Fit belt guard, hand wheel and position transmitter
–
Set position transmitter.
–
Fit and adjust the hook.
–
Adjust bobbin case holder and throat plate.
