4 Sewing basket
4.1 Setting the cloth presser block (lifting stroke)
Rule:
With the sewing basket being lifted, the distance between the
supporting spring
1 and the guide 2 should amount to 1 mm .
Setting:
–
Turn on the machine and lift the sewing basket.
–
Press-in the holding spring 1 and turn off the machine.
The fabric presser block 3 will lock the holding spring.

Loosen the screws 4 .
–
Shift the cloth presser block 3 until the distance between the top
of the cloth presser block and the bottom of the machine arm
amounts to
2 mm .
–
Tighten the screw 4 , noting that the cloth presser block 3 should be
parallel to the throat plate.
–
Place an open-mouth wrench (SW18) on the clamping block 9 and
let cylinder 5 run out completely.
–
Loosen screw 10 and turn clamping block 9 until there is a
clearance of 1 mm between the completely raised cloth presser
block and the machine arm.
–
Tighten screw 10 and check the clearance again.
NOTE
If the lifting height is set by the clamping level 7 so that the maximum
lifting stroke is not attained (customer request),it will be impossible to
lock the cloth presser block
3 by the holding spring 1 .
