2.10.4 Tension of the thread tightening spring
Setting:
–
Loosen the screw 1 and turn the tightening axle 2 accordingly.
Turn clockwise = for higher spring tension
Turn counter clockwise = for lower spring tension

Insert the tension axle 2 up to the stop
and tighten the screw 1 .
3. Hook and needle bar
3.1 Loop stroke position
Rule:
In the loop stroke position (2 mm) the hook point should coincide with
the middle of the needle.
The loop stroke is 2mm with a needle throw width up to 4mm and
2,2mm with a needle throw width of 4mm or more.
If problems arise the suggested loop stroke of
±
0,2mm can be varied.
Setting:
–
Turn the crank until the needle stands above the inner (right) stitch
a of the left bartack.

Turn the hand wheel in the direction of rotation until the needle
stands at its lower dead point.

Slip setting block (Part no. 223 000531) onto the needle bar and
press the lifting tongue (Part no. 223 000536c or 223 000536d) by
the block against the needle bar coulisse.
–
Tighten the setting block and remove the lifting tongue.
–
Follow turning the hand wheel until the setting block is in contact
with the needle bar coulisse.
–
Loosen the screw 3 .
–
Turn the hook according to the Rule and tighten the screws 3 .
–
Check that the needle point does not touch the hook at the left
insertion.
