6.6 Setting the Swing-out Path
Rule:
With the knife block being lowered ( opening of the needle thread
scissors ) the front edge of the needle thread scissors should be in
alignment with the left basket inner edge.
Setting:
–
Turn on the machine.

Call up the programme "F-20" and lower the knife block.

Loosen the screw 1 and set the bolt 2 according to the Rule .
The dead travel within the coulisse can be changed by shifting the
bolt
2 (more dead travel = less way for the needle thread scissors).
6.7 Left end position
Rule:
With the knife block being lowered ( opening of the needle thread
scissors ) , the needle thread scissors should be unable to jump
behind the outer left sewing basket edge.
Setting:
–
Open the needle thread scissors by hand completely and position
so that the clamping surface of the front edge if the needle thread
scissors still rests
1 mm on the left sewing basket edge.

Loosen the screw 3 and set the stop 4 against the bolt of the
mobile scissors part.
–
Check if, with the shears covered from above, there is still a gap
between the stop 4 and the roller on the moving portion of the
shears.
