2.10 Setting the lower needle thread tension
2.10.1 Timing the opening of the thread tension
Rule:
The thread tension should be open when the piston rod 1 is extended.
When entering the piston rod 1 , the thread tension should be closed
immediately after the start of the movement.
Setting:
–
Extend the piston rod 1 .

Loosen the screws 2 .
–
Shift the cylinder suspension 3 so that the inclined faces of the
releasing sheet 4 are in contact with the cams of the releasing disk
5 .
–
Tighten the screws 2 .
