ALERT CONFIGURATION
Some printer alerts can be disabled, enabled or customised by the user.
To configure alerts:
1. Select
Home > Setup > Alert configuration
.
2. The settings listed below can now be defined:
Setting Name
Explanation
Message can not be
created
Display an alert, when a label cannot be created.
Production speed too high
for these parameters
Display an alert, when the speed of the production line is too fast
for the controller's current settings or too fast for the selected
label.
No PD during specified
distance
Display an alert if no product detect/print trigger signal is received
after the production line has moved by a specified distance. To set
the distance, adjust the "Distance to check PD signal" setting
described see
Print Trigger Setup on page 79
.
Multiple PD while active
Display an alert, if the controller receives 1 or more product detect/
print trigger signal during an active printing cycle. Product detect/
print trigger signals received during an active print cycle will also
be ignored when this setting is enabled.
Second PD while no
encoder
Display an alert, if the controller receives a product detect/print
trigger signal while no movement is detected by the encoder.
No connection to
authentication server
Display an alert, if the controller cannot connect to the
authentication server. This alert may be useful if remote security
mode is setup, see
Remote Security Mode on page 126
.
Treat consecutive raised
count
Note
It is recommended to leave this setting disabled,
unless it is needed to diagnose a specific fault.
Record the number of times the same alert is raised one after the
other without being cleared. The record will be stored in
Home >
Setup > Printer diagnostics > Logs
.
If this setting is disabled, the first incident of the alert will be
recorded. Repeats of the same alert will not be recorded while the
first incident of the alert remains active.
Print delay too short
Display an alert if the distance that the product moves past the
product detect sensor before it is printed on is set too short. To
adjust the delay, see
.
Nozzle status alarm
Each nozzle in the print head is controlled by a thermal firing
resistor. These resistors can become damaged over time. This
setting defines the number of damaged resistors that the controller
will detect before an alert is displayed.
End of procedure.
