a. Flashing 2 x:
No formation of flame at the end of the period of safety.
Verify, if there is enough gas.
Check the ionization electrode, if necessary exchange or readjust it. (Operating instructions page 22)
Verify the ignition.
Readjust the gas-air-mixture.
In difficult situation you could retrofit a UV-cell.
b. Flashing 3 x:
The air pressure control device does not close
.
The adjustment of the air pressure control device is not correct (set-point 2 mbar)
The air pressure control device is defective. Replace it, if necessary.
Verify the blue measuring hose.
The ventilator motor does not run or its rotational speed is too low.
The ventilator entrance is blocked.
c. Flashing 4 x:

d. Flashing 5 x:
Internal failure of the automat
Replace the firing automat.
e. Flashing 7 x:
Flame blow off during the operation.
Bad adjustment of the burner: readjust the gas-air-mixture.
Short circuit between the ionization electrode and earth: exchange the ionization electrode if necessary and readjust.
In difficult situation you could retrofit a UV-cell.
f. Flashing 18 x:
The air pressure control device opens during the pre-ventilation period or during operation.
The adjustment of the air pressure control device is not correct (set point 2 mbar)
Verify the blue instrument leads.
The ventilator motor does not run or its rotational speed is too low.
The ventilator inlet is blocked.
g. Flashing 19 x:
Failure of the contact at the outlet or of the wiring.
Check the wiring after its renewal. If a fault of the wiring can be excluded, the firing automat must be replaced.
h. Flashing 20 x:
Internal failure of the automat.
Replace the firing automat.
3. Malfunction during operation.
3.1 The burner operates, but the water does not heat up properly.
3.1.1 The heating coil has become furred.
The exhaust temperature exceeds 220 °C by far.
The temperature of the outer casing exceeds 60°C.
The temperature limiting safety device cuts off.
Check the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of the coil.
The coil has become furred, if the difference exceeds 2 bar. The calcium has the effect of an insulator. Thus only part
of the produced energy can be delivered to the water. The water will not heat up properly.
The heating coil must be acidulated with a specific circulation pump until all the calcium is removed.
3.1.2 The heating coil has become entirely sooty (
in case of operation with liquefied gas)
The exhaust gas temperature exceeds 220 °C by far.
The temperature of the outer casing exceeds 60°C.
The temperature limiting safety device cuts off.
The burner can no longer be correctly adjusted.
The smoke appearance is very bad and no longer adjustable.
The water does not heat up properly.
