7.2 Usable chemicals:
At present the manufacturer has no knowledge of disadvantageous effects of chemicals on the materials used as standard.
Commercially available chemicals, which have a pH-value between 4-12 in diluted condition can be applied.
In principle, only those chemicals have to be used, which dissolve entirely, which do not deposit themselves and which
do not precipitate.
Independent of the pH-value, the manufacturer of the chemicals has to be asked in case of the use of particularly
aggressive chemicals, whether the used materials might be attacked.
The mixing of several chemicals as well as the deviation from the prescribed concentration may lead to dangerous reactions.
7.3 Calcareous water:
In case of calcareous water the machine must be decalcified chemically regularly.
A decalcifying device may as well be installed in the machine.
7.4 Application in areas with danger of frost:
If the danger of frost exists in your area of application, the according precautions have to be executed,
to prevent the destruction of parts or units of the machine.
8. Safety regulations:
The owner of the machine has to give the instructions necessary for a safe operation and has to control their execution.
The following (German) prescriptions and guidelines must be considered:
Regulations for prevention of accidents
: „works with jet stream machines“ (VBG 87)
Regulations for prevention of accidents
: „Use of liquefied gases“ (VBG 21)
Further guidelines : (for example DVGW-TRGI 1986, TRF 1988, DIN 4756 etc.)
8.1 Important Notice:
High pressure cleaners must be used only according to the regulations, due to the possible dangers
(for example: recoil, cutting effect of the jet stream, hose shortening during the start period of the pump, etc.).
They may be operated by those persons only, who are familiar with and informed about the possible dangers.
If required by the circumstances in the factory, additional personnel has to be hired, who can interfere in dangerous
situations at any time.
8.2 Electrical joint:
Recommendation: Installation of a residual current circuit breaker, which interrupts the supply voltage,
if the residual current exceeds the value of 30 mA for more than 30 ms.
8.3 General warning:
• Warning: Do not use the machine, if further persons are in the working area.
• Warning: Do not aim the jet stream on persons, tension-leading machines or onto yourself.
• The power of recoil at the pistol may not exceed the maximum value of 150 N.
This limit can be kept by the correct choice of the nozzle.
• Warning: The high pressure tubes, the fittings and the couplings as well as the pistols are important for the safety
of the machine. Therefore, only those parts are to be used which are recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not put the machine into operation, if one or more of the mentioned parts are faulty.
• Before carrying out maintenance works, separate the machine from the supply voltage, close the supply of gas
and water, and release the pressure.
• High pressure cleaners may not be used by children or by a layman.
