• To ensure the safety of the machine, only those spare parts have to be used,
which are produced or recommended by the manufacturer.
• For the operation of the machine in closed areas, a safe conduct away of the exhaust gases has to be guaranteed.
The machine may be separated from the chimney joint for maintenance works only.
• The operation in explosive areas is not allowed.
8.4 Health protection:
If damages to the health may occur during the operation of the jet stream machine, the according protective equipment has
to be put at the disposal and to be used.
Dangerous substances may only be used, if sufficient ventilation and personal protective equipment is guaranteed
(i.e. safety goggles, safety gloves, protective clothing and shoes, etc.).
In case of the use of hand-held spraying devices in containers or tight rooms, the “protective measures during descending
into containers“, see paragraph A of the annex to the VBG 1, § 35-47, „Protection against dangerous substances“ have to
be considered. (VBG=German Regulations for prevention of accidents)
8.5 Machine check:
(only valid for the use of high pressure cleaners)
The UVV (=German regulations for the prevention of accidents) prescribes, that the operational reliability of the high
pressure cleaner has to be checked either in case of need or every 12 months at the latest by well trained professionals.
Well trained professionals are those persons, who possess sufficient knowledge of the valid guidelines, based on their
education and experience, enabling them to judge the fail-safe condition of the machine.
The results of the verification have to be stated in written form.
Therefore, a maintenance contract with your supplier is recommendable, ensuring the regular verification of the
high pressure cleaner.
9. Mounting instructions
9.1 Connection to water:
9.1.1
The water inlet has to be connected by means of a tube corresponding to the operating pressure. In case the
machine is being operated with water with a high calcium or mineral content, the machine has to be decalcified
chemically regularly or a decalcifying device has to be installed.
9.1.2
The water outlet has to be connected to the high pressure conduit or the high pressure tube.
9.2 Water quantity:
The heating capacity of the BR1000 allows water quantities from 6 up to 18 Litres/minute. Larger quantities of water lead
to an extreme formation of condensation, to considerable failures and premature break down due to corrosion of the
heating coil and the inner casing.
9.3 Range of pressure
9.3.1 Low pressure range 4 – 20 bar:
Low pressure range 4 – 20 bar (special equipment needed)
The normally fitted pressure switch has a shift point of 4 bar. For low pressure use, the heating coil should be of
1/2“ tubing. Thus the production of steam bulbs which might lead to premature coil failure is avoided.
9.3.2 High pressure range 20 bar and above
The normally fitted pressure switch has a shift point of 20 bar. Here mainly the 3/8“- heating coils are used,
though the 1/2“- heating coils can be installed up to 200 bar depending on the desired flow rates.
9.4 Safety valve (Page 15 Pos. 12)
The operator should never adjust the safety valve.
Before putting into operation the installer should adjust the safelty valve as follows:
1. Bring the machine to the required operating pressure.
