Troubleshooting
F0005, F0006, F0007 (Charge end reason 21)
Error Description
Possible Causes
Possible Solutions
VCU timed out while attempting to
resolve cell voltage imbalance in
the ESS.
1) ESS fault.
2) EVSE error.
1) Troubleshoot specific error.
2) Restart charge session.
This error indicates that the charge controller has
detected a cell voltage imbalance in the ESS during
charging and the cell imbalance could not be
resolved within a 3-hour time limit.
Cell voltage is also monitored by the BMS and the
VCU, which will raise their own errors (F0026 and
F0153, respectively) if an imbalance is detected. If
charge controller fault reason 21 appears without
either of these errors, it may be possible to resolve
the error by restarting the charge with a compatible
EVSE.
Note:
When requested to connect the
vehicle to an EVSE, either a level 2 or level
3 EVSE can be used.
Note:
For best ESS performance and
vehicle range HV batteries must regularly be
changed to 100% SOC. Vehicle SOC is a
calculated valued that drifts over time. It is
recalibrated only at the end of the charge
cycle when HV batteries are charged to
100%. Always fully change the vehicle until
the charge cycle automatically ends. Only
charge vehicle using a level 2 or level 3
EVSE.
