Troubleshooting
Cabin Heater no contact
Error Description
Possible Causes
Possible Solutions
VCU has not received any CAN
message from the heater within a
specified time interval.
1) CAN communication problem.
2) Blown 12V fuse F13.
3) Loss of continuity caused by
defective LV harness or
connector.
4) Cabin heater internal failure.
5) CAN/LIN internal failure.
1) Resolve CAN communication
problem.
2) Replace 12V fuse F13.
3) Replace LV connector or
harness per Service Manual.
4) Replace cabin heater.
5) Replace CAN/LIN.
No Contact fault messages appear on the HMI
display and remain while the fault is active.
Historical No Contact fault messages can be found
in the HMI logs by selecting the MC43[2]log.
