Troubleshooting 

F0099 - Propulsion system fault 

Error Description 

Possible Causes 

Possible Solutions 

Traction inverter has reported an 

internal failure or traction inverter 

has requested emergency stop. 

1)  Blown MPDM fuse F5. 

2)  Blown 12V fuse F19. 

3)  Loss of continuity between 

MPDM and traction inverter 

due to defective LV connector 

or harness. 

4)  Loss of continuity between 

12V fuse box and Charge 

Controller due to defective LV 

connector or harness. 

5)  Defective relay K004. 

 

1)  Replace MPDM fuse F5. 

2)  Replace 12V fuse F19.

The traction inverter will send an emergency stop 

request to open an HV relay to prevent a hazardous 

situation. The traction inverter will take this action if 

its ignition signal is lost during operation or if it 

detects an overcurrent condition on its input. 

 

 

Propulsion System faults may also be 

investigated and resolved using the ODIN 

tool and the TM4 SUMO Powertrain
