ACL Configuration Wizard
The ACL Configuration Wizard will aid the user in the creation of access profiles and ACL Rules automatically by
simply inputting the address or service type and the action needed. It saves administrators a lot of time.
To view this window, click
ACL > ACL Configuration Wizard
as shown below:

The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter
Description
Type
Use the drop-down menu to select the general ACL Rule types:
Normal
- Select to create a Normal ACL Rule.
CPU
- Select to create a CPU ACL Rule.
Egress
(RI and EI Mode Only)
- Select to create an Egress ACL Rule.
Profile Name
After selecting to configure a
Normal
type rule, the user can enter the Profile Name for
the new rule here.
Profile ID (1-6)
Enter the Profile ID for the new rule. A lower value denotes a higher priority.
Access ID (1-256)
Enter the Access ID for the new rule. Selecting the
Auto Assign
option will allow the
switch to automatically assign an unused access ID to this rule. A lower value denotes a
higher priority.
From / To
This rule can be created to apply to four different categories:
Any
- Select to include any starting category to this rule.
MAC Address
- Select to allow the user to enter a range of MAC addresses for this rule.
IPv4 Address
- Select to allow the user to enter a range of IPv4 addresses for this rule.
