Installing the Operating System Drivers

COMPAQ CONFIDENTIAL - NEED TO KNOW REQUIRED

For hot-pluggable drives, after you secure the drive in the bay, the LEDs
on the drive will all light once in an alternating pattern to indicate that
the connection was successful. The Online LED will turn green,
indicating that the controller has recognized and successfully initialized
the replacement drive. If the Online LED does not light after a few
minutes, verify that you added the new drive in the same slot as the
failed drive and that the drive capacity is the same as the failed drive it
is replacing.
