The Switch Module and Remote Module can also connect with other Citel Technologies
EXTender products. Some EXTenders offered by Citel are based on the same
configuration Management Interface as described in this document. Other single user
EXTenders use phone menu or console to exclusively configure unit.
The other products discussed are single and multi-port versions that offer at least the
same features and functionality as the Switch Module and Remote Module described in
this document. For details on the full EXTender product line refer to

Connecting an 1100A Remote Module to a PBXgateway II Switch Module
When the installation requires multiple EXTenders (Remote Modules) to connect to a
Switch Module or PBXgateway the following
MUST
be configured properly for a
successful connection:
1.
User ID
s on the Gateway and Remote Module
must
be configured
à
Path: Gateway (and Remote) ->Configuration->Port or (Remote Phone
Menu)-> Set Config-> Connect menu -> User ID
2.
Port Matching
on the Gateway should be disabled.

Path: Gateway ->Configuration->Connect
Connecting an 1100A Remote Module to an 1000 Switch (Office) Module
When the installation requires an 1100A Remote module to connect to a 1000 Switch
Module the following MUST be configured properly for connection.
1.
User ID
s on the Switch (Office) Module and Remote Module
must
be configured. The
1000 Switch has a User ID range of 00 thru 99. If passwords are not enabled then
you can use any User ID in this range and when you connect you will not be prompted
to enter a password. If passwords are configured you need to match the User with
the password

For the Switch Module configuration. Path: Switch Module->Configure
System->Passwords (again only need to verify if passwords enabled and
password for desired User ID).

For the Remote Module (1100A) User ID Path: Remote ->Configuration->Port
or (Remote Phone Menu) ->Set Config-> Connect menu -> User ID

Password Path: Remote ->Configuration->Port
Connecting an 1000 Remote Module to an 1100A Switch Module
When the installation requires a 1000 Remote module to connect to an1100A Switch
module the following MUST be configured properly for connection. The 1000 Remote can
be configured User ID of numbers of only of a size that is the maximum of the 1100A.
