Essential Configuration – Remote Module

Once the Switch Module and Remote Module are connected, the MC (Management
Console) allows for the configuration of the individual ports according to the requirements
of the individual users. The following is a detailed description of the programming areas
that would be considered “essential” to the proper operation of the Remote Module.

Do NOT connect the Switch Module to the PBX or connect the digital telephone to
the Remote Module until the Setup Wizard has been run. An improperly configured
Switch Module can cause damage to the PBX line card and an improperly
configured Remote Module can cause damage to the digital telephone set.

!

Essential Setup Wizard Configuration

There are two items that

must

be configured using the Setup Wizard:

 The

Region

Code

  The PBX Type

Path:

 Remote->Utilities->Setup_Wizard

1.  Set the Region Code.  Below is an example of a Setup Wizard configuration for

changing the Region code from the United States to Canada

************************************************************
