Remote Module Phone System Messages
Error messages will appear on the telephone set at the remote site when a connection
attempt fails. The telephone will usually show “Connect Error” followed by one of the
following prompts (not
all
messages are preceded by “Connect Error”):

Remote port is already
connected
Reset port on Switch
Module (or PBXgateway)
Assigned port Busy
The Switch Module port or
PBXgateway port is in use by
another user
Wait until port becomes
available or reset the port
on the Switch Module and
try to reconnect
Assigned port Down
The Switch Module port is not
available due to problems with
the port (port LED shows green
flicker)
Check physical connection
at the Switch Module
Connect rejected
The PBX or KTS rejects the
connection attempt
Verify connect password
Check network links
Attempt to reconnect
Connect Timeout
Remote cannot connect to the
Switch Module
Check the network
connection on the Switch
Module
Network Disabled
The network device is not
connected, is being used, or is
not active
Check network link and
device
Network Down
The network device has a
problem
Check network link and
device
Network in Use
The network device is being
used by another device
Reset the ports and
attempt to reconnect
Network not ready
The network device is not ready
for use
Ensure network devices
are working properly
