Advanced System Parameters – Administrator’s Password
An administrator’s password should be set to restrict unauthorized access to the Switch
Module. Individual port passwords are not affected.

1. The
Set Password
function - The administrator password can be a maximum of 10
digits and it restricts unauthorized access to the Management Console (MC) and
Management Browser (MB). It is important to set an administrator password because
the unit’s password is blank (no password) by default. Keep the password in a safe
place.
An administrator’s password should be set to restrict unauthorized access to the Switch
Module. If the administrator password is lost or forgotten please contact a customer
representative at 1-877-248-3587 or
on how to reset the password.
