Rebooting the Switch Module or Remote Module
From the Management Console
To reboot the system from the Management Console:
Path:
Gateway (and Remote)->Utilities->System->Reboot.
A warning message is displayed and you are asked to confirm the reboot:
Entering “[Y]es” will cause the unit to be rebooted and entering “[N]o” will abort the
operation.
Note:
This is a software reboot and will not reset all functionality as would a power cycle
(hard
reboot).
From the Management Browser
To reboot the system from the Management Browser:
Path:
Gateway (and Remote)->Utilities->System->Reboot
A warning message is displayed and you are asked to confirm the reboot.
Clicking on “[Y]es” will cause the unit to be rebooted and clicking on “[N]o” will abort the
operation.
Note:
This is a software reboot and will not reset all functionality as would a power cycle
(hard
reboot).
From the Telephone Management Interface (Remote only)
To reboot the Remote Module from the Telephone Management Interface:
Access the Telephone Management Interface by pressing Hold key four times. Then
press the
Nxt
key until you see the “Restart Unit” menu. Press
Ok
key.
You will then be prompted again with another menu. “OK to Restart?” If you again press
Ok
the Remote Module will display “Restarting…” and then reboot. Pressing
No
will abort
the Restart process.
