Management Browser
Connecting to the Management Browser
The Switch Module and Remote Module can also be configured using a web based
interface when running Windows Internet Explorer 5.x or later. Prior to configuring through
the Management Browser, a valid IP address must first be assigned to the units and the
Web server must also be enabled. To configure the unit’s IP address and Management
Browser settings refer to
Direct Serial Connection
or
Telnet Connection
.
The Switch Module and Remote Module Management Browser uses JavaScript and
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), therefore, you must enable JavaScript to obtain all the
functions described in this document. If you disable Cascading Style Sheets, the functions
will still work, although the appearance will differ.
Enabling the Management Browser
The Web Server feature must first be enabled in order to administer the units with this
method. The configuration screen to enable the Management Browser is shown below:

– In order to configure the units using the Management
Browser the Web Server must first be set to “Enabled.”
