BLACK BOX 

®

Advanced Console Server

There are three basic types of parameters in this file: 

•

conf.*

 parameters are global or apply to the Ethernet interface.

•

all.*

 parameters are used to set default parameters for all ports.

•

s#.*

 parameters change the default port parameters for individual ports. 

An all.* parameter can be overridden by a s#.* parameter appearing later in the pslave.conf 
file (or vice-versa). 

Power Users:

 To find out what to input for these three parameters so that you 

can configure what you need, go the appropriate appendix, where you will 
find a complete table with an explanation for each parameter. You can use the 
templates from that same Appendix (pslave.conf.cas, etc.) as reference.

conf.eth_ip

This is the IP address of the Ethernet interface. Use it if you don’t have 
DHCP Server in your LAN. An example value would be:

200.200.200.1
