Appendix H - Web User Management

410

BLACK BOX 

®

Advanced Console Server

Step 4:  Click on the Submit button. 

A confirmation message will appear.

Step 5:   If there are more users to be added, repeat the steps 1 to 4.

Step 6:  Click on the link Web User Management > Load/Save Web Configuration.

Step 7:  Click on the Save Configuration button.

This will save the users added in the file /etc/websum.conf.

Step 8:  Click on the link Administration > Load/Save Configuration. 

Step 9:  Click on the Save to Flash button.

Step 10:  Test the user(s) added.

Log out the current user (Go to the link Application > Logout) and log in again, with 
the new user.

Deleting a User

The root user is delete-protected, and, because of that, it cannot be removed from the user 
list. The other users can be deleted.

Step 1:  Click on the link Web User Management > Users.

Step 2:  Select the user to be deleted and click on the Delete User button.

A confirmation message will appear.

Step 3:  If there are more users to be deleted, repeat the steps 1 and 2.

Step 4:  Click on the link Web User Management > Load/Save Web Configuration.

Step 5:  Click on the Save Configuration button.

This will save the users added in the file /etc/websum.conf

Step 6:  Click on the link Administration > Load/Save Configuration. 

Step 7:  Click on the Save to Flash button.
