Begin with the program at home position:
“SPECTRUM 100, IDLE”. Press the three-
key simultaneous entry for management routines
(“NEW”+”ENTER”+”STATUS”)

The next prompt will ask you to choose the
required management activity: “SCROLL”
to highlight “SYSTEM TEST”, then press
“ENTER”.

The next prompt will ask for a system PIN
number. Do not enter a number. Press
“ENTER” and proceed.

The next prompt will ask you to select a
type of system test: “SCROLL” to the right
to highlight “TEST ALL SC’S ?”, then press
“ENTER”.

The system will now run a continuous
functional test to verify proper operation
of the selected Smart Controller electronics
and their communications to / from the con-
sole. When it completes a round of tests, it will
repeat the procedure until you press enter.
The pass number indicates the number of
completed system test cycles. Press “NEW”
to discontinue further test cycles. Respond to
any displayed error messages with remedial
action per pages 47-56.

The display will change to “TEST ALL
SC’S ?” on the fi rst line, OR, if faults were
detected, one or more error messages will be
displayed. Write down error messages if they
occur. Then press “NEW” to continue.

The display will change to “REQUIRED
ACTIVITY?” on the fi rst line. The system is
automatically resored to online status. Press
“NEW” again to continue.

The system will display “SPECTRUM 100
IDLE”. The console is now ready for other
operations.

During the test process, the system must
be “offl ine”: no dispenses may be active. A
prompt asks if you are prepared to go offl ine.
If yes, press ENTER; if not, press NEW, close
all dispense jobs then resume SP9 from the
beginning.
