Guide to Basic Procedures (BP)
Nine console procedures are used to control dispense
operations and manage jobs in queue, to review
and maintain tank level information, and to inspect
job history:
General Access Procedures
(All PIN numbers may use these procedures.)

nsole Power-Up
... at the
beginning of each working day, the
console power switch should be turned “ON”. This
will initiate an electronic self-testing cycle, which will
last approximately 3 to 20 seconds. When the cycle
is complete, the console display will show the default
message “SPECTRUM 100, IDLE”. Or, the console
program will request a PIN number to proceed, if
you have set up the system for PIN code protection
(see page 24 for details). If requested, respond
with any valid PIN number to continue. If error
messages appear at start-up, refer to the “PROBLEM
DIAGNOSTICS” section of this manual, pages
52-58.

orize a New Dispense
Job
... in the Spectrum
TM
system, all fl uid
dispensing jobs must be initiated at the console. With
the console display at “SPECTRUM 50, IDLE”, press
the “NEW” key to begin a new job authorization.

Review the Status of Undis-
pensed Jobs
... at any time, the status of
all authorized, undispensed jobs may be reviewed.
Press the “STATUS” key to access the job summary
quick-view screens, which are organized by fl uid type.
Right-scroll to see jobs in queue, represented by Q0
(the active job), Q1, Q2, ...etc.

Changing the Job Queue
Order
... at any time, an authorized job
waiting in queue may be jumped forward for immediate
dispensing. All other jobs will move back one space
in the queue.

Deleting a Job from Queue
...
at any time, an authorized job ready for
immediate dispense (queue position Q0) may be
deleted. All other jobs in queue will move forward
one step.
Management Access Procedures
(Under some system set-up conditions, only management

STANDING PIN CODES” page 24.)
