M-Mode
Overview
M-mode (motion mode) ultrasound is produced by slowly sweeping one line of a
B-mode image across the screen. The M-mode image illustrates a time series of scans
along this line.
M-mode can only be used in combination with B-mode.
To turn M-mode on or off:

Selecting any other mode will also turn off M-mode.
To return to scanning with B-mode alone, press
[
f
]
.

When M-mode is selected, the screen will be divided into two windows (see Fig 8-1).
You can adjust how the two windows are displayed (See “Doppler and M-Mode
Screen Layout” on page 169).
