Doppler Mode – Spectral Doppler 155
Audio Volume
The Doppler signal can be played as an audio signal as well as appearing on the
screen.
To adjust the volume of the audio signal:

Adjusting the Doppler Mode Image
Doppler Indicator
When Doppler mode scanning is turned on, the Doppler indicator is superimposed
on the B-mode scan.
You can adjust the position and size of the Doppler gate to get information from
sample volumes in various parts of the B-mode image. The view must be scanning
when you do this.

To move the Doppler gate:

Click cm on the left side of the screen and drag to the desired value.

• Click the Doppler indicator or press

and drag the gate.
The sample volume line moves along with the gate.

To resize the Doppler gate:

Click mm on the left side of the screen and drag to the desired value.

Point at the Doppler indicator, (or click it, or press

) and then press

+/-
]
.
Trace Overlay
Trace overlay displays a mean, peak or combination peak/mean velocity trace in the
Doppler image.
To turn on or to change the trace overlay:
• Click on Trace on the right side of the screen and select the desired mode from the
drop down menu.
Steering
As in Color mode, you can steer the Doppler beam of a linear transducer.
To adjust the beam angle:

. You can choose left, right or no steering.
